Komari the kitten was found, starving and sickly, when she was only 5 weeks old. Her rescuers knew their work would be cut out for them in building up her strength, but they didn’t hesitate to take the frail ball of fur home with them.
There she met her siblings — 6 playful ferrets (all males) — who showed their approval of the new family member instantly. They welcomed her in as one of their own, including her in all their activities: playing, eating and sleeping.

Seeing them all cuddling together was a common occurrence. Those big brothers really took their job seriously.
Now that Komari is all grown up, the siblings remain close. The only difference is that now she can repay their efforts, protecting them as they protected her.
